Job Title: Payroll Accounting Specialist
Bremerton / On-site
Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000 DOE Our client is seeking a detail-focused Payroll Accounting Specialist to support their payroll team through a high-visibility overtime reporting project and an upcoming payroll system transition. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, digging into data, and ensuring accuracy in a fast-moving environment.
As a Payroll Accounting Specialist, you will assist with splitting and reporting 2025 employee overtime into tax-deductible (FLSA premium) and non-tax-deductible (CBA premium) categories, while helping maintain compliance and transparency for employees.
Overview of the Payroll Accounting Specialist :
Generate employee pay reports for project-specific payroll analysis.
Split eligible and ineligible premium time using Excel spreadsheets for reporting by
Provide support related to a payroll system transition from Paychex to UKG
Assist with additional account reconciliation tasks as needed.
Qualifications for the Payroll Accounting Specialist :
Associate's degree or relevant coursework in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred but not required.
1-2 years of payroll or accounting specialist experience.
Ability to generate system reports and perform account reconciliations;
Intermediate Excel proficiency required (formulas, pivot tables, data sorting/clean-up).
You will work closely with a Payroll Supervisor and two Payroll Specialists.
This position reports directly to the Payroll Supervisor.
