Job Details We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Accounting to lead our core accounting operations and drive financial accuracy and compliance across the organization. This role is responsible for overseeing the month-end close process, managing the Accounts Payable and General Ledger teams, and ensuring adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls. Job Details We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Accounting to lead our core accounting operations and drive financial accuracy and compliance across the organization. This role is responsible for overseeing the month-end close process, managing the Accounts Payable and General Ledger teams, and ensuring adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls. The Director will also lead cash management activities and play a key role in audit preparation and SEC filings. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the monthly close process for all balance sheet and expense accounts, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Maintain and enforce documentation and review procedures in alignment with SOX compliance standards.
- Supervise and develop the Accounts Payable and General Ledger teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Oversee cash management functions, including bank account administration, liquidity optimization, and timely funding of business operations.
- Assist in the preparation and review of SEC filings, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong track record in financial reporting, team leadership, and cash management.
- Deep understanding of month-end close processes and internal controls.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite or Workday preferred.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
