Legal Administrative Assistant

Carrols Corporation seeks an Administrative Assistant for the Legal Department to provide administrative and clerical support to the Vice‑President and General Counsel, Senior Corporate Counsel, and Paralegals.

Summary

Provide administrative/clerical support to the Legal Department.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist Vice‑President and General Counsel, Senior Corporate Counsel, and Paralegals with administrative tasks.
  • Perform data entry, document scanning, file and report generation, mail sorting, phone answering, and meeting scheduling.
  • Process and maintain the company’s business and operational permits for restaurants; learn to operate the company’s permitting software program.
  • Organize and maintain departmental records; open and close contract files.
  • Prepare real estate and corporate closing binders.
  • Order checks for payment obligations and process invoices for legal services.
  • Draft correspondence as directed.
  • Support management, board of directors, and shareholder meetings.
  • Perform other Legal Department support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; 2‑year college degree desired.
  • Experience in a corporate legal department or law firm desired.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong client service skills.
  • Organized with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Flexible and able to work well with others.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.

Computer Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and other related software.
