SUMMARY

Provide administrative/clerical support to Legal Department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administrative Assistant for Vice-President and General Counsel, Senior Corporate Counsel, and Paralegals.
  • Perform administrative/clerical duties such as data entry; document scanning; generating, maintaining, and updating files and reports; sorting mail; answering phones; and scheduling meetings.
  • Assist with processing and maintaining the Company’s business and operational permits for the Company’s restaurants. Learn to operate the Company’s permitting software program.
  • Assist in organizing and maintaining departmental records.
  • Assist in opening and closing contract files.
  • Prepare real estate and corporate closing binders.
  • Assist in ordering checks for payment obligations and processing invoices for legal services.
  • Draft correspondence as directed.
  • Provide support for management, board of director and shareholder meetings.
  • Other Legal Department support duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma required.
  • 2-year college degree desired.
  • Experience in corporate legal department or law firm desired.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Must have strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Must have strong client service skills.
  • Must be organized and have the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Must be flexible and able to get along well with others.
  • Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.

COMPUTER SKILLS

  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and other related software.
