System Automation Engineer The Role & Key Responsibilities The Role To support our growing business, activities and needs, we are recruiting a talented Automation & Monitoring Engineer. The System Engineer will actively contribute to maintain, optimize, and monitor the existing corporate infrastructure as well as to its future design and implementation.
Description
Design and develop automated solutions
Configure and deploy automation tools (RedHat AAP)
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams
Maintain and optimize automated systems
Monitor infrastructure, application, websites, APIs, etc. (Datadog)
Provide training and support
Hierarchical Reporting Hierarchically reports to the Manager, MSC Technology NA Functionally reports to the Infrastructure Team Leader of Automation
Location Full Time (9AM - 6PM), Hybrid position in Warren, New Jersey. Candidate MUST be able to reliably commute daily. Availability for occasional travel as required
Qualifications and Experience Required skills and experience
Extensive experience within information security/technology sector
Proven experience with Ansible
Proven experience with REST APIs
Proven experience with Azure, Azure DevOps and working within CI/CD pipelines
Proven experience with IaC templating / complex automated workflow / automated provisioning
Experience with ServiceNow CMDB
Experience with Monitoring tools (Datadog or similar)
Experience with job scheduler / SCM (AAP, Rundeck, Git)
Jinja templating knowledge
Proven experience in incident management, service request management and troubleshooting using root cause analysis (RCA) techniques
Expertise in deploying and maintaining business critical applications and solutions
Ability to multitask and work under pressure
Outstanding English languages written and verbal communication skills
Outstanding customer service skills
Desirable skills and experience
Experience of using ticketing systems and use of monitoring and management tools
Experience with cloud-based solutions around compute, storage, and network (Azure)
Experience with Agile methodology
Scripting knowledge (Bash, Python, Powershell)
ITIL certification
Practical experience working in a RHEL environment
