Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Slap Inspector to perform quality inspections on aluminum automotive parts. This role involves conducting “slap tests” and visual inspections to identify defects such as cracks, porosity, surface flaws, or structural inconsistencies. The inspector ensures all products meet required quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform slap testing on aluminum parts to detect potential defects or abnormalities.
Conduct visual and tactile inspections to identify cracks, blemishes, or imperfections.
Follow standardized inspection procedures and quality criteria.
Tag, separate, and document non-conforming products.
Maintain accurate inspection logs and complete data-entry as required.
Communicate quality concerns to team leads or supervisors.
Follow all workplace safety and quality guidelines.
Keep the inspection area clean, organized, and compliant with quality expectations.
Requirements
Previous manufacturing or quality experience preferred but not required.
Strong attention to detail and ability to spot defects quickly.
Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Basic data-entry or computer skills.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
Dependable and safety-focused.
