About the Unit Resolute Rehabilitation at Cornerstone Specialty Hospitals Round Rock is a 12‑bed inpatient rehabilitation unit located at 4681 College Park Drive, Round Rock, Texas. The unit focuses on helping patients recover from serious illness, injury, or surgery—especially those transitioning from intensive care.
Specialized Rehab Services: Offers intensive therapy for conditions such as stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, orthopedic trauma, neurological disorders, amputation, and other complex conditions.
Therapy Intensity: Patients typically receive 15 hours of therapy per week, guided by a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, and therapists.
Modern Facility: Located on the first floor, the unit is equipped with advanced rehab equipment and designed to support recovery in a focused, patient‑centered environment.
How You’ll Contribute Evaluates and conducts medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs. Provides educational information to patients regarding injury prevention, ergonomics, restorative therapy, and rehabilitation therapy. Supervises physical therapy assistants and aides in performing treatment.
Essential Functions
Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patients’ condition.
Establishes a plan of care appropriate to identified problems and involves patients according to their capabilities and desires.
Plans, prepares, and carries out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve, or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain, and prevent physical dysfunction.
Performs therapy interventions using standard physical therapy techniques and skills appropriate for the age and condition of the patient.
Directs and supervises physical therapy assistants, students, and other support personnel; assesses competence, delegates specific tasks, and establishes communication channels.
Administers treatment involving application of physical agents, equipment, moist packs, ultraviolet and infrared lamps, and ultrasound machines.
Evaluates, fits, and adjusts prosthetic and orthotic devices and recommends modifications.
Identifies and documents goals, anticipated progress, and plans for reevaluation.
Qualifications and Requirements Education: Bachelor’s Degree (required)
Licenses: Physical Therapist License in Texas
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) obtained within 30 days of hire
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
