Summary We are seeking a dynamic and highly analytical Business Analytics Manager to support our commercial organization within a growing medical device company. Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, this role is responsible for developing data‑driven insights, managing commercial dashboards, optimizing Salesforce workflows, and delivering analytics that support strategic decision‑making across Sales, Product Management, Marketing, and Executive functions.

The ideal candidate combines technical expertise in Business Intelligence Tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or BIRST and Salesforce with strong business acumen, enabling the organization to enhance commercial performance and patient impact.

Key Responsibilities

Advanced Sales, Pricing & Margin Intelligence

Develop and deliver actionable insights to support sales strategy, forecasting, territory optimization, and commercial planning.

Develop multi‑level trend dashboards with account‑level drill‑downs, product mix segmentation, and comparative period analysis.

Implement anomaly‑detection models to identify shifts in customer buying patterns, pricing compliance, and product substitution trends.

Quantify financial impact of pricing actions, margin leakage, discounting behavior, and changing product preferences.

Product Portfolio & Lifecycle Analytics

Conduct elasticity and price optimization analysis to support product roadmap decisions.

Model revenue and margin impact of product obsolescence and line transitions.

Assess product adoption curves, cannibalization risks, and competitive package shifts.

Marketing Performance & Lead Quality Insights

Analyze tradeshow performance including lead quality, funnel conversion, and revenue contribution.

Evaluate marketing attribution and develop ROI models for campaigns and event investments.

Integrate Salesforce, marketing automation, and web analytics to create a unified view of pipeline behavior.

Advanced Analytical Modeling

Build forecasting models, segmentation analyses, and predictive risk indicators.

Develop data frameworks that proactively alert commercial teams to opportunities and risks.

Business Intelligence Tableau Dashboard Development

Design and maintain intuitive Business Intelligence dashboards for sales leadership, field reps, product line management, marketing, and the executive team.

Ensure dashboards deliver clear, accurate, and scalable performance reporting.

Partner with technical teams by offering insight into data sources, refresh schedules, permissions, and Business Intelligence Server/Online administration.

Collaborate with commercial stakeholders to translate business needs into visual analytics.

Salesforce CRM Optimization

Oversee Salesforce commercial workflows to improve sales efficiency and visibility.

Build and maintain reports, dashboards, flows, validations, and automation supporting the field and customer service teams.

Improve data quality, pipeline accuracy, lead tracking, customer hierarchies, and account management structures.

Partner with IT or external developers for advanced integrations or customization as needed.

Data Integration & Infrastructure

Maintain clean, reliable data for commercial reporting for the CCO, Board, Quarterly Business Reviews, and other teams across the Business Intelligence Platform, Salesforce, and other operational systems.

Build or support ETL pipelines connecting commercial data sources to reporting platforms.

Work with Finance, PLM, Operations, and Marketing to ensure alignment on shared data definitions and KPIs.

Support compliance, privacy, and data security standards within the medical device industry (HIPAA, FDA, etc.).

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

Work closely with Sales, Product Management, Marketing, and Supply Chain to understand data needs and deliver insights.

Train users on Business Intelligence dashboards and Salesforce reporting tools.

Serve as a key data partner to the CCO for strategic decisions, commercial planning, and field execution.

Qualifications Required

Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, Finance, or related discipline.

3–7+ years of experience in business analytics, sales analytics, or commercial operations.

Strong proficiency with Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, or BIRST (dashboarding, data modeling, server/online administration).

Solid Salesforce reporting and administration experience (flows, dashboards, validations).

Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.

Ability to present complex data in a clear, concise, and compelling way to senior leadership.

Preferred

Experience in medical device, biotech, pharma, or other regulated healthcare industries.

Experience supporting C‑suite or executive‑level stakeholders.

Salesforce Administrator and Tableau (with consideration given to PowerBI, or BIRST) certification.

Experience working in an ERP system with a preference for Infor XA.

Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Boomi, MuleSoft, Tableau Prep).

Familiarity with territory modeling, quota planning, or sales compensation analytics.

Travel
