Description

Business Intelligence Manager / Analytics Lead

Location: Corp

Department: Data & Analytics (with cross-functional alignment)

Reports to: VP, IT

ROLE SUMMARY We are seeking a Business Intelligence Manager / Analytics Lead to translate healthcare data into clear, trusted insights that drive executive decision-making. This role sits at the intersection of finance, clinical operations, and sales/marketing, ensuring leadership teams have accurate, timely, and actionable intelligence.

This is not a purely reporting-focused role. It is an executive decision‑support function. The ideal candidate has deep experience partnering directly with senior leaders, understands healthcare metrics and tradeoffs, and can guide executives toward the right questions — not just present answers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Executive & Leadership Analytics

Partner with executive leadership to define, monitor, and evolve core KPIs across:

Finance and back‑office operations (revenue, margin, payer mix, performance)

Clinical operations (provider productivity, utilization, outcomes)

Sales and marketing (lead flow, conversion, attribution, ROI)

Own executive dashboards and recurring reporting cadences (weekly, monthly, quarterly).

Translate ambiguous or open‑ended leadership questions into structured analytical frameworks and insights.

Proactively surface risks, trends, and opportunities that inform strategic decisions.

Healthcare Analytics & Insights Analyze cross‑functional healthcare data to identify drivers of growth, operational efficiency, and clinical performance.

Deliver insights that support:

Growth and expansion strategy

Operational and financial optimization

Clinical performance and outcomes improvement

Ensure analytics reflect real‑world clinical workflows and financial realities.

Business Intelligence & Visualization

Design, build, and maintain executive‑facing dashboards using BI tools such as Power BI (strongly preferred), Tableau, or Looker.

Ensure dashboards are intuitive, accurate, and aligned with executive priorities.

Establish and enforce consistent metric definitions to prevent multiple versions of the truth.

Balance standardized reporting with flexible, ad‑hoc analysis capabilities.

Collaboration & Governance

Work closely with the Senior Analytics Engineer to ensure data models and source‑of‑truth tables support analytics and reporting needs.

Partner with Finance, Clinical Leadership, Operations, and Marketing teams to align on definitions, interpretations, and reporting standards.

Serve as the final owner of metric definitions, reporting logic, and executive‑facing analytics standards.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

6–10+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or decision‑support roles.

Strong SQL skills and comfort working directly with large analytical datasets.

Advanced experience with BI and visualization tools (Power BI strongly preferred).

Proven track record supporting executive leadership with analytics and insights.

Ability to communicate complex findings clearly and confidently to non‑technical stakeholders.

HEALTHCARE EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED)

Direct experience in healthcare analytics environments.

Strong understanding of:

Clinical workflows and performance metrics

Healthcare financials and revenue cycle concepts

Multi‑location or multi‑provider healthcare organizations

Experience working with EHR‑derived data (NextGen or similar systems).

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE (FIRST 90–120 DAYS)

Executives rely on standardized dashboards as primary inputs for key decisions.

Finance, Clinical, and Marketing leaders are aligned on shared metrics and definitions.

Ad‑hoc analysis requests are delivered faster, with greater clarity and trust.

Leadership consistently asks better, more strategic questions because the data is reliable and well‑framed.
