Amazon's Legal Department is looking for a talented Associate Corporate Counsel to support Amazon Web Services (AWS), a dynamic and rapidly growing business at the forefront of cloud computing.
This Associate Corporate Counsel will serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders and support the AWS Specialists & Partners team. Draft, negotiate, and advise on strategic contracts and initiatives with customers and partners. Typical transactions will range from standard contracts to complex, high-dollar-value strategic agreements.
Responsibilities
Draft, negotiate, and advise on strategic contracts and initiatives with customers and partners.
Support AWS specialists & partner initiatives.
Draft, negotiate and advise on standard and complex high-dollar-value strategic agreements.
Prioritize, multitask, meet deadlines, and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
Work well within a large legal team, and work independently.
We hire attorneys with experience in a variety of practice areas, including litigators, general corporate, mergers & acquisitions, technical transactions, intellectual property, telecommunications, real estate, products, regulatory compliance, and privacy. We look for candidates who are willing to learn and develop alongside our team.
Basic Qualifications
2+ years of legal experience.
Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work.
Experience managing multiple projects and meeting aggressive deadlines.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $118,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $195,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
