Job Description:

• The Phlebotomist I represents the face of the organization to patients and is responsible for drawing quality blood samples and preparing specimens for laboratory testing.
• This role requires delivering compassionate patient care, maintaining a professional environment, and ensuring accuracy in all specimen collection and documentation.
• The Phlebotomist I performs both forensic and clinical collection duties while demonstrating strong organizational commitment and professionalism.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the supervisor.
• Maintain a safe and professional environment.
• Perform clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing following established procedures.
• Maintain required records and documentation.
• Promote a positive image to patients, clients, and staff.

Requirement/Must Have:

• Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.

Skills:

• Strong customer service abilities.
• Keyboard and data entry proficiency.

Experience:

• Minimum of 6 months experience required.
• One or more years of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.

Qualification And Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
