Job Description:

• The Phlebotomist I (Patient Services Representative I) is responsible for collecting high-quality blood samples from patients and preparing specimens for laboratory testing.
• This role requires exceptional professionalism, accuracy, and patient interaction skills.
• The Phlebotomist I creates a welcoming environment, explains procedures clearly, and performs blood draws safely and efficiently while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to established procedures.

Requirement/Must Have:

• Ability to provide accurate, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

Experience:

• Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience required.
• 1+ year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Customer service experience in retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience required.

Responsibilities:

• Perform specimen collection and processing following established procedures.
• Maintain a safe, professional, and compliant work environment.
• Complete daily tasks accurately and on schedule under supervisor direction.
• Maintain proper documentation and required records.
• Promote a positive image to patients, clients, and staff.

Qualification and Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in some states).
