Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Supervisor to oversee daily operations and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting. This role requires a strong background in full-cycle accounting, payroll management, and financial analysis. Located in Kirkland, Washington, this position offers the opportunity to play a pivotal role in streamlining processes and supporting organizational growth. Responsibilities:
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring timely and precise financial results.
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and necessary adjustments to maintain accurate records.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure proper documentation for audits.
- Generate monthly financial statements and management reports, providing variance analyses and actionable insights.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic planning.
- Process bi-weekly payroll with confidentiality and accuracy, while managing employee benefits and annual enrollments.
- Support HR functions such as onboarding documentation and maintaining compliance with policies.
- Collaborate with external auditors during year-end financial audits and prepare necessary schedules.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within accounting systems and workflows, utilizing QuickBooks Online.
- Proficiency in general ledger management, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, variance analysis, and budgeting techniques.
- Experience with payroll processing and benefits administration, including knowledge of ADP systems.
- Familiarity with US GAAP and internal control standards.
- Advanced skills in QuickBooks Online and other accounting software.
- Ability to coordinate audits and prepare tax filings with external professionals.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
