Description Kevin Wong with Robert Half is seeking a highly skilled Director of Accounting on behalf of one of his well-respected clients. The Director of Accounting will lead the accounting function for a dynamic and growing organization. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, and driving process improvements across all accounting operations. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong technical expertise and leadership skills, capable of building and mentoring a high-performing team. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the accounting department, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Partner with executive leadership to provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making.
- Manage annual audits and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy within accounting processes.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team to foster a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Deep knowledge of GAAP and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to manage complex accounting operations in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
