Job Summary The Customer Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for managing the flow of information, inventory, and orders between our customers, internal departments, vendors, and third-party logistics partners. This role ensures accurate forecasting, timely order fulfillment, and consistent communication that supports high service levels in a fast-paced produce manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and experienced in managing customer accounts.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts.
Communicate order status, inventory availability, production timing, and delivery updates.
Coordinate with vendors and packaging suppliers to align materials with production needs.
Partner with retail and B2B customers to resolve issues and ensure exceptional service.
Review open orders, forecasts, and inventory levels to identify risks such as shortages or overproduction.
Update customers on product availability and develop recovery plans if service gaps occur.
Work with production, procurement, and warehouse teams to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
Monitor product shelf life, rotation, and quality considerations specific to produce.
Communicate daily with third-party storage facilities and carriers to ensure orders ship correctly.
Coordinate domestic FTL shipments and scheduling based on customer requirements.
Track loads, resolve delivery issues, and support logistics documentation as needed.
Review customer forecasts and historical trends to support production planning.
Identify demand changes and communicate them proactively to planning and procurement teams.
Assist in monitoring service levels and reducing out-of-stock (OOS) occurrences.
Maintain accurate customer item information, pricing, pack sizes, and specifications in customer portals.
Prepare and analyze reports in Excel (inventory, production demand, forecast accuracy, service levels).
Support new product setups and coordinate customer onboarding for new projects or product lines.
Requirements and skills
2+ years of experience in supply chain, production planning, customer service, or logistics.
Knowledge of inventory control practices and cold-chain or perishable goods handling is a plus.
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data analysis).
Experience managing major retail, wholesale, or foodservice accounts (Walmart, H‑E‑B, Kroger, etc.) preferred.
Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment with frequent changes in demand.
Work Environment Office environment with regular interaction with production and warehouse areas. Occasional need to enter cold storage environments or production floor (PPE provided). Must be able to work extended hours during peak seasons.
