Your Role And Responsibilities As a Delivery Consultant, you will work closely with IBM clients and partners to design, deliver, and optimize IBM Technology solutions that align with your clients' goals. You will apply your technical expertise to ensure world‑class delivery while leveraging your consultative skills, such as problem‑solving, hypothesis‑based methodologies, communication, and service orientation.
In this role, you will install, configure, upgrade, and perform health checks for IBM DB2 on z/OS; collaborate with clients to optimize and trailblaze new solutions that address real business challenges.
Preferred Education Bachelor's Degree
Required Technical And Professional Expertise
z/OS System Programmer: general knowledge (ISPF/SDSF, RACF, JES parameters, SMP/E, SYS1.PARMLIB, SYS1.PROCLIB), basic SQL, database object creation, security, and transaction isolation.
Operations: JCL and command knowledge.
DB2 on z/OS: administration, v13 usage, DSNZPARMs, Data Sharing groups, version upgrades, system tuning, and subsystem customization.
Monitoring: OMEGAMON/DB2, MAINVIEW for DB2.
IBM and OEM DB2 tools: DB2 Admin Tool, Query Monitor, High Performance Unload, SQL Performance Analyzer, QMF.
Preferred Technical And Professional Experience
IBM DB2 Analytics accelerator (IDAA).
DB2 Application performance tuning.
Team and independent work capability.
Mainframe systems software programming.
Proficient with z/OS, TSO/ISPF, JES2, RMF, SMF.
Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and critical‑thinking skills.
Experience resolving less clearly defined problems using established procedures and protocols.
