This role involves coordinating a crew to install high security fencing and gate systems, ensuring safety practices and high quality standards for construction within live substations.
Base pay range $48.33/hr - $51.33/hr
Position:
On-site Labor Foreman (Industrial Fence & Gates)
Wage Rate:
$48.33-51.33 per hour, + performance-based bonuses. Higher wages are available based on location. Hours range from 40 to 60, depending on owner schedule. Weekends are not mandatory.

Locations:
Traveling to OH, PA, MD, WV, IN, NY, NJ & VA; other states may be available.
Duties
Coordinate a crew to install high security fencing & gate systems.
Perform pre-dig inspections for underground utilities and be highly aware of all hazards above and below ground in substations.
Perform all layout for posts and grades.
Install foundations and posts to grade.
Complete framing and panels/chain link.
Install gates.
Install stone along fence lines as needed.
Read & interpret plans and shop drawings.
Maintain safe practices among all crew members.
Typical equipment used: Skid steers, telehandler, excavator, hydrovac trucks & man lifts.
Work in live substations near energized equipment.
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years related experience as a foreman for industrial fencing.
Union member or willingness to become a union member.
Minimum of 3 years working in and around live substations.
Ability to use computers and phones for timesheets and other reports.
Knowledge of installing slide gates, gate operators and their accessories.
Concrete forming experience for large foundations.
Substation entry trained or badged.
Valid Driver’s License required; CDL preferred.
OSHA 10 & OSHA 30 preferred.
Licenses/Certifications/Prerequisites
Valid Driver’s License.
CDL Training can be provided.
OSHA 10 & OSHA 30 preferred.
Drug testing and background checks.
