Job Responsibilities

Protective Services Operations – Provide leadership, supervisory oversight, guidance, and management of staff for daily operations to protect property and ensure safety of others, participate in selection of employment candidates, represent Protective Services leadership on CCHMC multifunctional teams, monitor calls from police, fire, and medical personnel, set team priorities, participate in meetings, serves as point of contact for administrative function, ensures communication, develops cooperative relationships, and sustains a positive culture.

System Administration – Ensure all equipment and systems operate within defined parameters and regulatory requirements; maintain and update systems, troubleshoot equipment and applications, identify operational problems, and oversee technical repairs.

Quality Initiatives – Monitor operations, identify best practices, plan and implement departmental projects, coordinate project team activities, recommend candidates, manage vehicle usage program, refine scope of work, prepare status reports, track action items, and respond to requests or assignments.

Emergency Response – Serve as point of contact for senior leadership during crises; oversee response to distress calls and emergency calls for disorderly conduct or combative patients; collaborate with Social Services, MPS, and clinical staff; respond to safety emergencies, provide authority, maintain visibility and assistance during emergencies.

Performance Management – Provide input into hiring, promotions, and terminations; communicate progress; collaborate with HR; mentor and develop employees; lead the yearly evaluation process.

Project Management – Provide leadership for technology projects, develop plans, allocate resources, manage scope, and communicate operational impacts.

Financial Management – Manage timecards, weekly schedule, PTO and vacation approval.

Job Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

5+ years of related work experience.

Valid driver’s license.

Expected Starting Pay Range: $56,846.40 - $72,488.00 (Annualized, may vary by FTE status)
