PetSmart Retail Operations Supervisor
PetSmart’s Process Lead (Retail Operations Supervisor) has shared responsibility to drive operational excellence in our stores while upholding the company’s vision, mission, values, and strategy. This role is responsible for merchandising and inventory, pet care operations, opening and/or closing the store, overseeing associates, and maintaining a safe and organized environment. Essential Responsibilities
Support and guide sales associates in merchandise handling, providing training on product knowledge and presentation standards. Facilitate associate experience and development, including training, onboarding, mentoring, and coaching for growth. Delegate and validate completion of daily tasks and lead when acting as Leader on Duty. Address associate complaints, grievances, and administer disciplinary actions. Execute merchandise strategies, manage inventory, conduct audits, and analyze sales trends. Operate POS systems and handle cash transactions with accuracy. Maintain store standards and culture of empowerment, ensuring compliance with Policies and Procedures. Participate in store opening and closing procedures, live cycle counts, and pet care maintenance. Respond to pet health incidents, coordinate veterinary transfers. Qualifications
2+ years of retail supervisory experience in a customer-focused environment. Full‑time availability with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays. Proficiency in computer applications. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Benefits
