LOCATION: 1 Optum Circle, Eden Prairie, MN 55344 (Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S.)

DUTIES:

  • Develop and implement analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using data‑oriented programming languages and visualization software.
  • Develop and manage effective working relationships with other departments, groups, and personnel; communicate efficiently with the Data Architect and business stakeholders to shape data solutions for end users.
  • Assist in the overall architecture of the ETL design and proactively provide input in designing, implementing, and automating ETL flows.
  • Investigate and mine data to identify potential issues within ETL pipelines, notify end users, and propose adequate solutions.
  • Develop ETL pipelines and data flows in and out of the data warehouse using Azure Data Factory and Snowflake toolsets.
  • Design idempotent ETL processes so that interrupted, incomplete, or failed processes can be rerun without errors using ADF dataflows and pipelines.
  • Work in Snowflake Virtual Warehouses as needed and automate data pipelines using Snowpipe for tedious ETL tasks.
  • Capture changes in data dimensions, maintain their versions using Streams in Snowflake, and schedule them using Tasks.
  • Optimize every step of data movement—during travel and while at rest—to accelerate response times.
  • Build a highly efficient orchestrator to schedule jobs, execute workflows, perform data quality checks, and coordinate dependencies among tasks.
  • Test ETL system code, data design, pipelines, and data flows; perform root‑cause analysis on processes and resolve production issues.
  • Document implementations, test cases, and build deployment documents needed for CI/CD.
  • Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • One (1) year of experience in data‑related occupations.
  • Experience in data warehousing concepts, ETL concepts, and working with ETL/Data quality tools on any ETL platform.
  • Building, deploying, and troubleshooting data extraction and loading pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF).
  • Writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
  • Analyzing and executing data profiles.
  • Experience working with healthcare data.
  • Developing a data solution on Snowflake Data Warehouse using continuous data pipelines with Snowpipe, Streams, and Tasks.

RATE OF PAY: $112,739.00‑$138,495.00 per year.
