The Analytics ADC team is at the forefront of delivering AWS Analytics cloud services to our customers in isolated, air‑gapped cloud environments. We push the boundaries of what is possible in this rapidly evolving field, leveraging cloud computing and the latest advancements in data technologies. Our focus is expanding Analytics services across air‑gapped cloud regions, driving automation investments, and delivering open‑source solutions. We build massively scalable distributed systems and develop the next generation of cloud services with AWS offerings such as Athena, LakeFormation, Redshift, OpenSearch, Glue, QuickSight, and Agentic AI services.

Have strong Linux & Networking Fundamentals. Day in the Life As a Systems Development Engineer II in Analytics, you will build innovative solutions, expand services into ADC regions, and improve our operations to provide resiliency and the best experience for our customers. You influence technical strategy and architectural decisions within the team and with partner teams, make data‑driven decisions, and bring best practices in operational and engineering excellence by actively contributing to ticket resolution and infrastructure improvements. You will develop, build, and operate AWS Agentic AI services that enable customers to optimize their data, support services running in air‑gapped regions, and innovate to automate operational tasks, build open‑source solutions, and support security campaigns.
Additional Responsibilities
Work cross‑functionally to foster constructive dialogue, harmonize discordant views, and lead the resolution of contentious issues.
Love to code: build tools in Java or solve complex system problems in Python, using the right tool for the job.
Think Big: build and deploy solutions across thousands of devices, improving and streamlining processes for massive scale.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.
Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems).
1+ year of designing or architecting new and existing systems (design patterns, reliability, scalability).
Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems, and hands‑on systems engineering.
Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and build processes.
Experience automating, deploying, and supporting large‑scale infrastructure.
