The Project Engineer position supports the site through technical capability to specify, install, maintain, and safeguard CAPEX projects and related work. The Project Engineer further collaborates with site team for improvement opportunities and actions.

Job Responsibilities

Plan, design, and implement capital and process improvement projects within the manufacturing facility.

Develop project scopes, cost estimates, schedules, and resource plans.

Prepare and present capital expenditure (CapEx) justifications.

Manage contractors, vendors, and engineering service providers to ensure project specifications and standards are met.

Oversee equipment installations, upgrades, and commissioning activities.

Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and ensure smooth transitions during project implementation.

Ensure all projects comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process and equipment issues.

Support continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices.

Maintain detailed project documentation, including drawings, equipment data, and validation reports.

Provide technical support and training to operations personnel.

Job Requirements

Bachelor of Science in engineering or engineering technology (electrical preferred)

Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience; experience in a chemical or paints & coatings environment a plus

Strong project management and organizational skills.

Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.).

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under minimal supervision.

Demonstrated ability to foster positive relationships with production employees, peers, and manufacturing management

Must be able to work with minimal direct guidance or direction from others

Must have experience managing multiple projects and working on and/or leading multi-disciplined teams or workgroups

Total Compensation

The salary range for these skills is: $80,000 to $95,000 + a 7.5% Annual Bonus
