Vegetation Management Inspector (1 Year)
ACRT Pacific, LLC is seeking entry‑level Vegetation Management Inspectors (VMIs) to patrol and evaluate utility trees and brush along PG&E rights‑of‑way lines. This full‑time per‑hour position requires a Class C driver’s license, at least one year VMI experience, and an active TRAQ certification. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of Hayward, CA. Duties & Responsibilities
Perform circuit patrols and identify and prescribe tree work using the VMDSR and PG&E’s electronic devices. Notify property owners and obtain authorizations for tree work. Coordinate tree clearance crews and manage EC notifications. Support emergency response, field check sites, and first responder agreements. Independently complete supervisor‑assigned tasks. Maintain oversight of vegetation projects, including field operations such as tree assessment, trimming, and other work as required. Participate in contractor safety and tailboard meetings and act as a customer relations representative on behalf of PG&E. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, permits, traffic control plans, and environmental protection measures. Basic Responsibility
Patrol distribution or transmission circuits and prescribe work to maintain compliance for a minimum one calendar year. Determine trimming and removal schedules based on failure likelihood and hazards. Assess trees and brush to facilitate electric compliance tags. Manage EC notifications, perform outage investigations, and document work using hand‑held and iOS devices. Use computers and associated software to enter data and process information. Perform emergency response duties in accordance with safety requirements and applicable labor agreements. Maintain direct contact with PG&E division personnel, public agencies, and customers as directed. Exemplify ACRT’s Guiding Principles and perform other duties as required. Operate cars, trucks, forklifts, and other equipment. Walk on uneven ground, handle excessive noise, and endure extremes in temperature, humidity, or wetness. Operate foot controls and repetitive foot movement. Expose to dust, gas, fumes, and chemicals. Spending prolonged periods sitting (driving/meetings/trainings). Use forestry‑related equipment—clinometer, range finder, logger’s tape, DBH tape—and safety gear such as hard hat, safety vest, safety glasses. Qualifications
High school diploma or GED. Maintain a Class C driver’s license. One year experience as a VMI or equivalent on a utility contract. Active TRAQ certification. Required Skills

$43.26 per hour (Total $54.08 per hour including in‑lieu benefits and daily subsistence payment) Salary Range Disclaimer
