As a Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you’ll provide personalized, one‑on‑one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP). Details

In‑Person Tutoring in San Jose, CA Schedule: 5 sessions a week for 1.15 hrs each Pay rate: $25 – $35 per hour Ideal Candidate

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, or related field (Master’s preferred). Minimum 2 years of experience tutoring or teaching students with developmental delays. Familiarity with social‑emotional learning supports and structured teaching methods. Background check and professional references required. Experience in special education tutoring for students with developmental delays. Skilled in teaching middle school to high school‑level content. Familiar with IEPs and individualized instruction plans. Patient, structured, and able to use positive reinforcement and motivational strategies. ABA experience preferred but not required. Key Responsibilities

Conduct an academic assessment to determine current skill levels and guide instruction. Provide support in Mathematics (emphasis on geometry, problem‑solving, and grade‑level concepts), English Language Arts (reading fluency, comprehension, and writing), Science and Social Studies. Support social‑emotional learning and structured study skills. Incorporate interests such as Legos, spiders, and outdoor activities to motivate learning. Use patience, consistency, and ABA‑informed or structured strategies to maintain engagement. Maintain progress notes and communicate with caregivers regarding goals and outcomes. Benefits
