Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, the Application Administrator will oversee a range of tasks related to software applications, including tech support and troubleshooting. The position will provide support directly to end users, including both internal and external teams. The Application Administrator will brainstorm and collaborate with various stakeholders to play an active role in the selection, configuration, and implementation of application systems. The role also involves developing training materials and documentation.

This position can be remote with trips to Baltimore as needed.

Duties

Subject matter expert on custom-built and off-the-shelf applications.

Manage and maintain Global Refuge applications, which include managing the bug-fix process, addition of enhancements or new modules, modifying workflows and configurations administering and maintaining databases, querying and/or analyzing application data.

Work with users on feature requests, upgrades, migrations, and integrations.

Update and maintain both system and user documentation.

Provide timely and accurate support IRIS (Immigration and Refugee Information System) and other supported systems for internal and external users.

Generate reports and database queries using SQL.

Plan, coordinate, test, and communicate application changes.

Perform deployments of application releases to production.

Lead ongoing reviews of business processes and optimization strategies.

Coordinate the development and delivery of training on process changes and how to use the software to promote business adoption of system capabilities and features.

Develop, analyze, prioritize, and organize requirement specifications, data mapping, diagrams, and flowcharts for developers and testers to follow.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or relevant professional experience.

Proven experience with database development, maintenance, and data analysis.

Proficient with SQL.

Proficient with MS Excel and Word.

Experience in being a subject matter expert.

Experience with any reporting tool.

Desired Skills: SharePoint, Salesforce

Technical aptitude.

Ability to influence others and negotiate effectively. Demonstrated ability to develop consensus, support others for their success, and work with people of varied backgrounds.
