Base pay range $80.00/hr - $95.00/hr
The AWS Cloud Architect is responsible for designing and implementing secure, scalable, and highly available cloud solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS). This role leads cloud architecture initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements. The architect collaborates with engineering, operations, and business teams to deliver enterprise‑grade cloud platforms and services.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement cloud‑native architectures using AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, IAM, and CloudFormation.
Lead cloud migration projects including assessment, planning, and execution of workloads to AWS.
Define and enforce cloud governance, security, and cost optimisation strategies.
Develop infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to development and operations teams.
Evaluate new AWS services and recommend adoption strategies.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable cloud solutions.
Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and performance optimisation of cloud environments.
Conduct architecture reviews and provide recommendations for improvements.
Stay current with AWS innovations and industry trends.
Manage / Work with Operations team closely with Off‑Shore team.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure or cloud architecture.
3+ years of hands‑on experience designing and deploying solutions on AWS.
Deep understanding of AWS services including IAM, VPC, ECS, EKS, CloudWatch, and Route 53.
Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, Bash, AWS CLI).
Strong knowledge of cloud security, identity management, and compliance frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications
AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional).
Experience with hybrid cloud and multi‑cloud environments.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF).
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
