ASAP JOB Description The Lean Manufacturing Project Manager is responsible for leading and designing Lean Manufacturing goals and strategies to improve operations and processes. This role manages all continuous improvement and performance enhancement activities using Lean methodologies and tools to achieve business objectives. Responsibilities
Develops, implements, and controls standard work across all departments. Delivers manufacturing enhancements leading to cost reductions, improved Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), operational diligence, and increased capacity. Leads Kaizen events and drives continuous improvement activities. Conducts value stream mapping to improve material and information flow. Manages projects and problem‑solving initiatives using Lean Six Sigma tools, including but not limited to DMAIC, Kaizen, PDCA, and 5S/6S. Reports daily, weekly, and monthly on all continuous improvement efforts. Recommends enhancements for layout optimization, safety protocols, and equipment upgrades. Ensures all activities comply with established rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. Mentors and coaches employees to increase the number of Green Belt certifications within the organization. Plans and budgets for all continuous improvement efforts without disrupting plant goals. Maintains expert knowledge of multiple department processes and stays current on industry best practices. Collaborates effectively with department heads to identify needs and opportunities. Performs other duties as required. Required Qualifications & Experience
Education:
Bachelor's Level Degree in Engineering, a related technical discipline, or another relevant field (flexibility regarding the specific discipline). Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of demonstrated project management experience working within a technical discipline. Regulatory Knowledge
Proficient knowledge of US and International Medical Device and Drug Delivery Regulations (e.g., ISO 13485, ISO 14971, IEC 62304, 21 CFR part 820.30‑Design Controls). Working knowledge of the product development lifecycle, including software and/or disposable development (flexibility on this specific area). Skills
Proficiency in project management, planning, and organization. Strong organizational skills and excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Demonstrated ability to foster teamwork and collaborate effectively in a fast‑paced, growth industry environment. Proficiency with MS Office products: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project. Green Belt Certified (preferred, not required). Strong presentation skills for various organizational levels. Ability to set clear goals and timelines effectively. Proficiency in SolidWorks.
