Students who attend Chicago Jesuit Academy (CJA) and High School Bridge (HSB) will be the next generation of leaders in the City of Chicago. Reporting to the Vice President of College & Career Persistence (CP), the Manager of Data and Operations serves as a member of the College & Career Persistence Team and the High School Bridge Team. The Manager of Data and Operations oversees and maintains the data, infrastructure and processes to support both CP and HSB data needs. A successful candidate will ensure that the database operates smoothly, the data has integrity and we can consistently and effectively communicate the outcomes of our students and alumni internally, with our Committee and with the Board of Directors.
Essential functions:
Work with the Vice President of College & Career Persistence to ensure implementation and upkeep of data processes for both the College & Career Persistence and High School Bridge Teams.
Develop strong functionality within Salesforce to manage processes for maintaining the accuracy of data entered, provide training to the team and ensure efficiency within the system.
Oversee data calendar and manage data timeline to ensure teams are collecting and updating data regularly.
Generate weekly, monthly and annual reports and special reporting projects as needed.
Research and develop ongoing growth of data best practices and processes to support the CP and HSB teams.
Manage data requests from Development, College & Career Persistence, and High School Bridge teams as well as with Notre Dame’s Lab for Economic Opportunities as needed.
Support a caseload of students by actively communicating and engaging with students, alumni and families and coordinating services and supports for various student/alumni issues.
Update and maintain the confidentiality of all students, alumni, and families alumni in both the College & Career Persistence and Hig School Bridge Salesforce database.
Support communications projects digitally and via print including list pulls and other related tasks.
Execute other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate should:
Have high proficiency with a customer relationship management database like Salesforce, MS Word and Excel, and Google Suite.
Possess impeccable attention to detail and accuracy, an appreciation for working with data and strong organizational and writing skills.
Effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously, think strategically, prioritize and meet deadlines.
Exercise sound judgment, handle confidential matters with discretion and develop a broad knowledge of the institution’s programs, practices, policies and procedures.
Possess a collaborative spirit and strong relationship-building skills including the ability to navigate challenging conversations across lines of difference and to listen sincerely and effectively.
Be motivated and driven to work with the team to accomplish team goals while also completing independent work.
Be open to working on a project or team undergoing transition and growth.
Be willing to admit a mistake, ask for help and receive feedback.
Actively engage in the life of the school and community.
Have a bachelor’s degree and at least 3-5 years of experience in education, social work or non-profit including at least 1 year of data management experience.
