Position Summary
This position provides instruction to students who are preparing to enter or already members of a vocational workforce (e.g., stationary engineers, commercial drivers, automotive mechanics, etc.). Instruction includes lecture, hands‑on labs, and distance learning technology (online video lectures, quizzes, etc.). Course outcomes range from entry‑level employment preparation to professional development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Facilitate instruction aligned to course outcomes, as assigned.
Ensure students complete all coursework, including participation in hands‑on lab projects.
Actively engage students throughout courses, promoting critical thinking and workplace skills.
Prepare and administer lesson plans for each class.
Provide students with timely outcome progress reports.
Report grades and attendance, and complete other faculty administrative tasks when required.
Develop new course content, when assigned.
Perform other duties as required for student success.
Required Minimum Qualifications
Industry license, certificate, or degree in area of expertise.
Desired Qualifications
Previous experience teaching adult learners.
Experience using computers and associated technology.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to use varying styles and approaches that reflect an understanding and acceptance of the role of culture in a diverse, multi‑cultural workplace.
