This marketing expert will be focused on driving strategic events that engage our customers and and customer marketing to deepen customer relationships and loyalty.This individual will drive customer engagement, loyalty, and lifetime value while creating memorable brand experiences through strategic event planning and execution. The ideal candidate will blend data-driven marketing expertise with creative event management to strengthen our connection with customers across all touchpoints.The Senior Marketing Manager, Customer & Events will work closely with our content team, product marketing team, and creative team to ensure they have the information and resources needed to produce, execute, and market events with the goal of connecting current and potential communities with Deseret Book content and product as well as position Deseret Book as a gathering place for communities.Successful candidates will have an understanding of the needs and culture of members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and have the ability to create and execute creative and strategic plans, collaborate well with others, and give and receive focused feedback. They will leverage insights on our communities to drive strategies and plans that pulls consumers into the product and content we are offering.RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:60% Customer & Event Marketing Strategy Development & Implementation: Develop, define, and lead the customer and event marketing for Deseret Book. This includes:* Strategy development: Define the event strategy for the key events; awareness, engagement, conversion, retention, and loyalty through traditional and digital marketing channels* Drive customer engagement efforts: Develop, implement, track, and optimize marketing campaigns for our customers to increase loyalty and return purchases* Content creation: Work with our creative and content teams to execute marketing content to support marketing plans in various marketing channels.* Analyze data: Monitor marketing strategies and analyzing data to measure the success of marketing strategies* Research: Conduct and analyze research to understand communities needs and how best to reach them, including post purchase outreach25% Event ideation: Working with our product marketers and content team, ideate events that will drive community and connect communities with the Deseret Book brand and products and establish Deseret Book as a gathering place for communities.15% Team Management: Manage customer and event marketing efforts with a focus to oversee marketing strategies and implementation. Infuse innovative marketing practices to accelerate customer experience and engagement, while increasing customer base and sales.REQUIRED SKILLS& QUALIFICATIONS:* Bachelor’s degree in event marketing, or related field and minimum of 4-6 years' work experience in strategic marketing* Experience with all different aspects of marketing channels* Events marketing strategy experience skills recommended* Ability to learn quickly and apply best practices* Detail-oriented:
