Role Overview As a PR Director at BPM-PR Firm, you'll shape our clients’ brand narratives, secure media placements, and foster relationships with key stakeholders. Reporting directly to the Vice President, you'll lead a passionate team, develop strategic PR campaigns, and ensure successful client initiative execution. You’ll oversee the PR team hub, manage event strategy, conceptualization, and creation, and conduct media outreach to secure high‑level placements and expand industry influence.
Responsibilities
Strategic Planning: Develop comprehensive PR strategies tailored to each client’s objectives, leveraging market insights and industry trends.
Media Relations: Cultivate and maintain strong media relationships, pitch event stories, secure press coverage, and maximize client exposure.
Content Creation: Produce event‑related content, including press releases, pitch letters, media kits, and promotional materials.
Media Pitching: Lead media outreach for clients’ products, services, and events—identify relevant journalists, craft personalized pitches, and secure placements.
Team Leadership, Training & Development: Mentor, guide, and support a talented team of PR professionals to foster a collaborative and high‑performing environment.
Client Reports: Prepare regular client reports with insights and analysis on campaign performance.
Client Meetings: Attend meetings to discuss strategy, progress, and future plans, ensuring client alignment and addressing concerns.
Desk Sides: Conduct video and in‑person desk sides to strengthen relationships and identify opportunities for additional PR support.
Outreach and Networking: Build new relationships with colleagues, clients, and media to expand reach and influence.
Sample Management: Oversee coordination and distribution of client products for media coverage.
Hub Management: Manage the PR team hub, ensuring alignment with client objectives and efficient workflow.
Online Research: Gather insights, identify emerging trends, and inform PR strategies.
Campaign Management: Execute end‑to‑end PR campaigns for products, services, and events within budget and timelines.
Productivity Tracking: Implement systems for tracking team productivity and performance metrics.
Measurement and Analysis: Monitor and analyze media coverage, event attendance, and key metrics for actionable insights.
Industry Engagement: Represent BPM‑PR Firm at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
Event Strategy, Conceptualization & Creation: Lead the development, planning, logistics, and evaluation of client events.
Prescreening Potential Candidates: Evaluate qualifications and fit for the PR Director role during prescreening.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or Journalism.
7+ years of extensive, hands‑on experience in public relations and corporate communications.
Demonstrable track record with solid media contacts and relationships.
Portfolio of placements in print, broadcast, and online media.
Experience managing a mid‑sized team.
Strong understanding of the media landscape and story resonance.
Experience with business press and technology & industry press.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace, and media databases.
Strong listening, creative thinking, influencing, and relationship‑building skills.
Fast‑paced and self‑motivated working style.
Team‑oriented with a collaborative approach.
Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and demonstrate high‑level organizational skills.
Previous agency experience a must.
