Health and Safety Leader
you will work closely with the location's leadership team, drive EHS initiatives across the site, ensuring compliance, fostering a culture of safety, and protecting both people and the environment. This position requires significant collaboration with local management, business unit leadership, and internal/external stakeholders.
Base Pay Range $85,000.00/yr – $120,000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities
Coach and guide location leaders to strengthen EHS accountability and performance.
Partner with leadership to achieve EHS objectives and embed safety into daily operations.
Develop and execute strategic EHS plans focused on fatality prevention, risk reduction, injury prevention, and environmental compliance.
Serve as the primary EHS representative to internal and external stakeholders.
Lead, mentor, and develop the site's EHS professionals.
Work jointly with the Plant Manager to set strategic direction for EHS programs.
Act as the plant's EHS subject matter expert, keeping leadership informed of emerging issues.
Spend time on the plant floor to understand processes, employees, and hazards firsthand.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university: BS in Environmental, Health, or Safety discipline preferred.
Professional certification (e.g., CSP, CIH) preferred.
Proven ability to lead change and deliver results.
Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to make sound decisions with incomplete data.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
