Account Director – Beauty PR

Chasen Creative Media is actively looking for a strong Account Director and leader to join our NY team!

Location:

NYC HQ in Flatiron. Monday-Thursday in office, Friday WFH

Our multifaceted expertise is focused on the beauty, lifestyle and entertainment sectors with clients including Paul Mitchell, Clinique, Gisou, Isima by Shakira, Remedy, Mane by Jen Atkin, Rizos Curls, Tan-Luxe, Isle of Paradise, FORVR Mood among others.

Role Description A chance to work with a talented and passionate team while servicing a great roster of top beauty and lifestyle brands. We are seeking a strategic leader and client liaison overseeing the account team and strategy across PR, influencer and experiential. This role involves maintaining excellent client-agency relationships and strategic planning across our brands. Leadership is at the core of the role including managing and mentoring a supportive team with a positive outlook.

Qualifications

PR agency and team management experience in the BEAUTY space

Strong leadership skills and a passion for cultivating junior team members

Hands‑on experience launching and managing 360 campaigns – press, influencer, and experiential

Possess excellent media relationships and secure consistent, top‑tier press coverage

Extensive background in PR account management

Proven ability to project manage, multitask, execute, and lead while maintaining composure in a very fast‑paced environment

Excited about beauty and growth in the PR industry!

Must have:

Beauty PR Agency Experience, Strong Leadership Skills, Organization, Tenacity, and Creativity.

7+ years full‑time working experience in beauty PR.

Agency experience and currently live in the NY Metropolitan area.

Proven experience leading PR strategy for corporate accounts

General Responsibilities

Work cohesively alongside Vice President and Founder/CEO

Maintain solid relationships with beauty, business, and trade editors

Execute media outreach and ensure consistent top‑tier press coverage

Handle important client communications and continually raise the bar across all initiatives, press, influencer and experiential activations by running meetings and conference calls in a professional, educational and confident manner

Maintain client relationships, expectations and KPI's

Monitor media, beauty and general lifestyle trends; ensuring the team creates new strategies across the ever‑changing beauty landscape

Maintain our position as the forefront of the marketing industry by increasing our thought leadership, knowledge of current trends, strategies and market research including attending seminars, panels, conferences, and attending virtual learning opps etc.

Collaborate with senior leadership to develop compelling new business proposals and decks, including brainstorming, shaping strategic narratives, and contributing creative ideas to win new business

Execute influencer campaigns including seeding, paid partnerships and have a key understanding of influencer pricing, scale, and platforms including TikTok, Instagram and YouTube.

Creative mindset, constantly churning out innovative ideas for projects and story angles

Escalate client needs and expectations to VP/CEO as needed

Team Management

Create an inspiring workplace environment with an open communication culture

Mentor, lead and guide team with a positive attitude and professional tone

Maintain organized team action item lists, delivering clear directive and expectations

Delegate tasks and set deadlines; adjusting systems in place as needed

Set and track clear team goals for team, while monitoring team performance

Client Responsibilities

Serve as key agency point of contact for day‑to‑day client communication

Heavy project management ensuring all internal and external deadlines are met

Develop and execute forward‑thinking communications strategies and tactics for clients while securing consistent client coverage

Lead client status calls, giving comprehensive, concise and clear updates on campaign management

Secure strong and consistent press and influencer coverage with significant results from strategic pitching, seeding and partnerships across client roster

Oversee campaign and strategy proposals and recaps inclusive of detailed analytics and visuals

Maintain client health overseeing account needs, deliverables, and KPI's

Show proactivity, resourcefulness and tenacity in problem solving
