Job Description Summary The Analytics Manager will play a pivotal role in advancing Sonesta’s enterprise-wide analytics capabilities. This position will lead the collection, analysis, and interpretation of complex business data to uncover insights, identify trends, and support data-driven decision-making across the organization.
The ideal candidate will combine strategic leadership with strong technical expertise to help build and sustain a data-driven culture. The Analytics Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to optimize performance, enhance business outcomes, and guide strategic initiatives through actionable insights and advanced analytics solutions.
Leadership & Team Development
Manage, mentor, and grow a team of business intelligence analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and analytical excellence.
Set clear goals, provide regular feedback, and champion professional development in service of driving business impact.
Analytics Strategy & Roadmap
Lead the design and execution of a comprehensive analytics roadmap that aligns with company goals and supports revenue growth and operational efficiency.
Identify key business questions and prioritize initiatives that maximize impact across sales, marketing, product, and operations.
Oversee strategic analytics projects from scope definition to delivery, ensuring alignment with stakeholder objectives, timelines, and measurable outcomes.
Data-Driven Insights & Storytelling
Conduct analyses to identify key performance drivers, diagnose trends, and surface actionable insights.
Deliver compelling data visualizations, reports, and executive presentations that clearly communicate findings and recommendations.
Continuously enhance reporting processes and visualization frameworks to improve storytelling, accessibility, and business decision-making.
What You’ll Bring Experience & Background
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, business, or related discipline (e.g., Statistics, Economics, Business Administration, Marketing Analytics, Finance).
5+ years of experience in analytics, data strategy, or business intelligence, including 2+ years in a leadership role managing analysts or BI professionals.
Experience in hospitality, travel, or service industries strongly preferred.
Proven ability to interpret industry performance metrics and economic indicators, including demographics, revenue management, and competitive benchmarking data.
Technical Expertise
Advanced proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
Expertise in data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
Advanced Excel modeling and quantitative analysis skills.
Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R.
Understanding of statistical modeling, data architecture, and best practices for handling large or complex datasets.
