Chief Commercial Officer PE Industrial Flow Control
The Chief Commercial Officer is responsible for providing leadership and resource stewardship to the organization’s sales and marketing functions. The position oversees development and implementation of best-in-class functional practices. This role is a critical business partner to Business Segments, Manufacturing, and executive leadership.
Responsibilities
Align the sales and marketing organization’s objectives with company business strategy through corporate strategic planning, sales strategy development, forecasting, sales resource planning, and budgeting.
Establish pipeline management and forecasting processes as the standard for performance reporting.
Maintain annual sales plans and monthly sales forecasts for each vertical segment.
Implement a route to market that includes sales organization design, channel partners, technical sales, and commercial operations to maximize effective and efficient market coverage.
Define customer-facing roles and accountabilities matched to the customer lifecycle to provide a value-driven, customer-centric market coverage that provides a best-in-class customer experience and competitive advantage.
Execute price optimization initiatives to improve profitability.
Establish a sales organization governance and guiding principles for managing performance and prioritizing critical performance metrics for all sales jobs.
Set clear priorities and align time/resources accordingly to keep multiple mission-critical initiatives moving forward in parallel.
Provide leadership to the sales organization’s management team, fostering a culture of accountability, professional development, high performance, and ethical behavior.
Create an agile organization by continuously assessing opportunities for change to the sales strategy and resources, championing change initiatives, and removing obstacles impeding constructive organizational change.
Requirements
10–15+ years of relevant work experience including strategic sales & marketing leadership.
4‑year degree in business or related discipline required; MBA preferred.
Proven track record of success in a cross‑functional leadership environment.
Experience in improving productivity, profitability, and business processes.
Change leadership experience.
Ability to lead others using influence versus reporting control.
Prior experience in key account management in a B2B environment requiring senior level contact and high levels of innovation, quality, and service.
Command of structuring and negotiating major account and distributor contracts.
Strong financial and analytical skills.
Experience being part of executive leadership team and ability to present to BOD.
Must be able to build a sales and marketing organization structure and commercial excellence rhythm that …
