Legal AI Technology Advisor – TruLegal (formerly TRU Staffing) Our client, a top-tier global law firm, is seeking a Legal AI Technology Advisor to join its team in Washington, DC. This position is ideal for a forward-thinking technologist with experience in legal innovation and a strong understanding of the global financial regulatory landscape. Candidates should bring hands‑on experience with custom GPTs/intelligent agents, PowerBI skills and a curiosity for how emerging AI tools can transform legal workflows. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of legal practice and cutting‑edge AI, advising on the practical use of generative tools like ChatGPT within a global legal framework.

Responsibilities

Develop a deep understanding of the needs of both internal legal teams and external clients and translate them into effective tech solutions

Build strong relationships with clients, positioning yourself as a "trusted advisor"

Advise on the integration of AI, machine learning, and other advanced technologies in legal processes, such as contract analysis and document automation to foster efficiency and innovation

Analyze usage of and promote the firm's current Legal Technology Toolkit by delivering tailored presentations, demonstrations, and matter-specific configurations of products

Collaborate with Product Management teams when new solutions are developed to offer feedback and guidance on delivery to meet lawyers' needs and enhance client experiences

Balance immediate client needs with the firm's strategic aims, identifying opportunities for existing solutions where needed

Support power users in key legal technology solutions to expand our delivery capabilities

Capture and share feedback from the firm's attorneys and business professionals across the global Legal Technology team throughout the product lifecycle

Stay informed about the latest legal technology trends through continuous learning, networking, and research, and identify opportunities for adoption within the firm

Promote the usage of our training materials and provide feedback on improvement opportunities

Qualifications

Solid experience implementing and supporting advanced legal technologies in Corporate and/or Global Financial Market practice areas, preferably at a global law firm

Bachelor's degree preferred (minimum of High School Degree or equivalent required)

Prior experience introducing legal technology solutions in professional services firms preferred

Strong comprehensive understanding of the legal technology landscape and its application at a global law firm

Ability to challenge the status quo with innovative technology solutions

Strong judgement in evaluating legal technology solutions for their potential to add value and align with strategic goals

Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including legal professionals and IT specialists, and apply strong problem-solving and entrepreneurial skills to address challenges in legal technology implementation

Effective verbal and written communication skills, delivered with enthusiasm and impact

Strong relationship skills and an understanding of diverse ways of achieving outcomes

Excellent time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and manage simultaneous deadlines

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Ability to travel to other offices within the U.S. as needed

Must be independently legally authorized to work in the United States

Expected salary:

$130,000 – $170,000, commensurate with experience, training, skills, qualifications, and other market factors.
