Senior Trial Attorney – Nationwide

What You’ll Do
Serve as lead counsel in civil litigation matters involving property and casualty insurance defense or subrogation.
Provide strategic case valuations and timely updates to clients and claims teams.
Utilize advanced trial advocacy skills and maintain awareness of evolving laws and technology.
Foster professional relationships within the legal and insurance communities.
Demonstrate proactive case management, strong work ethic, and exceptional communication skills.
What We’re Looking For
Education:
Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
Experience:
3+ years of civil litigation experience in property and casualty insurance defense or subrogation.
Licensing:
Active license in the state of New York.
Strong negotiation, analytical, and legal research skills.
Ability to adapt to changes in law and technology; highly collaborative and organized.
Preferred Experience
First-Party Medical / PIP / New York No-Fault
Examinations Under Oath (Claimant & Medical Providers)
Multi-claim investigations; Third-Party Bodily Injury and Uninsured/Underinsured

The expected starting salary range for Trial Attorney: $106,000.00 - $158,000.00
Nationwide pays on a geographic-specific salary structure Nationwide pays on a geographic-specific salary structure and placement within the actual starting salary range for this position will be determined by a number of factors including the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; and other conditions of employment. If a Sales job, Sales Incentives, based on performance goals are possible in addition to this range. Note on Compensation for Part-Time Roles: Please be aware that the salary ranges listed below reflect full-time compensation. Actual compensation may be prorated based on the number of hours worked relative to a full-time schedule.
