Sr. Electrical Engineer

We are looking for a Sr. Electrical Engineer to join our team in our Boston‑area (Braintree, MA) office. The role involves design of building/facility electrical systems—including medium voltage substations and switchgear, transformers, distribution panels, circuiting, and equipment and device connections—and related construction administration services. The successful applicant will lead the design process, perform technical management, and support project teams in delivering electrical systems for a wide variety of commercial, industrial, institutional, and airport projects. Responsibilities

Technical management and oversight for existing or new projects; act as client/Company liaison; ensure projects are delivered with high quality, on time, and within budget. Function as Project Lead Technical Engineer and/or Project Manager on assignments with electrical design scope. Identify needed project resources and work with Corporate Discipline Leads to assign team members. Consult and coordinate with senior management and facilitate status meetings. Ensure coordinated design with Electrical and other disciplines. Create and review electrical drawings, technical specifications, and estimations. Provide advisory information during the construction phase. Perform site surveys and engineering studies. Monitor project production and schedules. Ensure quality of work meets company and industry standards. Follow up on issues to resolve problems and concerns. Essential Functions

Duties as assigned by Supervisor and other senior management members. Qualifications

Proficient in project management. Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit. Exceptional knowledge of Electrical System Engineering for large public facilities. Strong knowledge of national and state electrical codes, NFPA Life Safety code, and applicable Building Codes. Knowledge of Mechanical, Fire Protection and special systems engineering. Good communication and negotiation skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize. Detail‑oriented and safety‑oriented. Excellent written and spoken English. Ability to create and maintain productive relationships with employees, clients, and vendors. Education & Experience

BS or MS in Electrical Engineering. PE license in Electrical Engineering or ability to obtain within six months of hire. Minimum 10 years of industry experience with 3‑5 years of project management experience. Valid U.S. driver’s license. Ability to work in the U.S. and meet site security requirements (MA State Police, USCBP/TSA background checks).
