Position Overview The VP of Sales is responsible for driving the sales strategy and execution to achieve revenue targets, manage the sales team, and develop key customer relationships. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in sales management and business development.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue goals
Lead and mentor the sales team to enhance performance and achieve targets
Manage key customer accounts and maintain strong client relationships
Conduct market analysis to identify trends and opportunities for growth
Utilize CRM software to track sales activities and manage customer relationships
Oversee the negotiation process with clients to secure deals
Forecast sales performance and provide insights to the executive team
Establish and monitor performance metrics to evaluate sales effectiveness
Provide training and development for the sales team to improve skills
Collaborate with marketing to align sales efforts with promotional activities
Manage the sales pipeline and ensure timely follow‑up with prospects
Drive digital sales initiatives to enhance online revenue streams
Engage in strategic planning to align sales initiatives with company objectives
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred
10+ years of experience in sales management and business development
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high‑performing sales team
Excellent negotiation and communication skills
Experience with CRM software and sales analytics
Ability to analyze market trends and customer needs to develop effective sales strategies
Strong understanding of B2B sales processes and techniques
Ability to manage key accounts and establish long‑term relationships
Experience in digital sales and marketing strategies
Strong organizational and time‑management skills
