Are you an experienced Used Car Manager/Inventory Manager with a proven track record of driving results through accurate appraisals, smart pricing, efficient processes, and sharp merchandising? Hyundai Santa Monica is looking for a leader who can take ownership of our used car operations and deliver measurable success.

Note:

We are only considering candidates located in the greater Los Angeles area who can commute to Santa Monica. Please note that out-of-state applicants will not be considered, as this position does not include relocation assistance.

Responsibilities The Used Car Manager/Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing the acquisition and management of the dealership’s used vehicle inventory.

Oversee the full lifecycle of used vehicle inventory — from appraisal to the front line.

Ensure vehicles move through the recon process quickly and efficiently.

Price to market daily using vAuto, aligning with market day supply and competitive positioning.

Partner with sales and service teams to optimize gross, turn, and overall profitability.

Lead merchandising efforts — making sure every car is presented online and on the lot with the right photos, descriptions, and pricing.

Qualifications

Required : Minimum

3 years

of Used Car Manager/Inventory Manager experience in a high-volume or franchise dealership.

Strong working knowledge of vAuto, CDK, and reconditioning processes.

A proven ability to balance speed-to-market with gross retention.

Leadership skills to drive accountability and consistency within the team.

Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. You must have or acquire a valid California Vehicle Salesperson License.

Compensation

The estimated annual earnings for this position are $120,000.00 - $200,000.00 after factoring in all forms of compensation including salary, commissions, bonuses, etc.

Employees in this position will receive a base salary of approximately $6,000.00 per month, plus commissions and bonuses based on performance.
