Principal Systems Engineer
Join our team at SCCI as a Principal Systems Engineer in Dahlgren, VA.
As a Principal Systems Engineer, you will provide technical expertise and engineering development support for a Combat Systems Engineering contract, supporting future work expected in 2027. This role may require occasional travel.

Responsibilities
Provide technical expertise and engineering development support
Coordinate development activities for engineering systems and capabilities
Conduct detailed and complex system engineering independently, including functional and system level requirements analysis, requirements generation, and technical review
Essential Skills and Experience
Must be a U.S. Citizen and have an Active Secret Security Clearance
Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in engineering, scientific, or technical discipline
Minimum 15 years in at least one of: Combat Systems Cyber Security, Ships Self Defense System, Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) class, Aegis Integrated Combat Systems, DDG-1000 Zumwalt class destroyer, Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense, Weapon/Sensor Combat Systems
Experience in Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirement System (DOORS) or DOORS Next
Experience developing Functional Area Assessment (FAA) and working with Mission Area Assessments (MAA)
Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Effective written and verbal communication skills
