Senior Electrical Engineer (Dallas, Texas) We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Electrical Engineer for one of our clients based in Dallas, Texas. Our client is a U.S. industrial manufacturer operating at the forefront of the clean energy and advanced materials sector, developing a new greenfield high‑tech manufacturing facility to support the growing demand for electrification and domestic supply chain resilience.

This position will play a key leadership role within the engineering team, supporting the detailed design, construction, and commissioning of a complex industrial facility. The Senior Electrical Engineer will oversee electrical power distribution and control system design while helping the business transition from reliance on external EPC firms to developing a robust in‑house engineering capability. Reporting into the Electrical & Controls Manager, this is a hands‑on, design‑focused leadership role that will suit a technically strong engineer with a background in industrial or manufacturing environments. The successful candidate will lead internal engineers and drafters, manage vendor coordination, and ensure all designs meet code, quality, and performance standards through to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

Lead electrical design for low‑ and medium‑voltage power distribution, MCCs, VFDs, and control systems.

Develop and review one‑line diagrams, schematics, grounding layouts, and cable schedules to ensure compliance with NEC, IEEE, and IEC standards.

Oversee internal engineering and drafting resources, reviewing deliverables and mentoring junior team members.

Interface with EPCs, OEMs, and construction partners to manage design reviews, vendor submittals, and technical coordination.

Support field engineering, commissioning, and troubleshooting during construction and startup phases.

Drive standardization and continuous improvement of in‑house electrical design practices.

Champion electrical safety, compliance, and quality across all project stages.

Qualifications

B.S. in Electrical Engineering (P.E. preferred).

8+ years of experience in electrical design within industrial, process, or manufacturing environments.

Strong foundation in medium‑voltage systems, motor controls, grounding, and protective coordination.

Working knowledge of PLC hardware, instrumentation integration, and AutoCAD Electrical.
