A pioneering US clean‑energy technology company is seeking a highly skilled Thermofluids Engineer to drive the end-to-end development and analysis of critical thermal‑fluid systems for first‑of‑a‑kind modular energy platforms. This is a role for builders and innovators who thrive in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment where your work directly shapes the product.
Key Responsibilities
Lead conceptual design and analysis of thermal system components and loops for advanced clean‑energy systems.
Drive multiscale thermal‑fluid analyses for complex internal turbulent flows, leveraging both high‑fidelity CFD models and system‑level tools.
Develop and validate CFD and thermal‑hydraulic models to ensure performance, stability, and safety across major system components.
Design and optimize thermal components including heat exchangers, piping networks, storage vessels, and pressure‑boundary systems.
Collaborate closely with cross‑functional engineering teams to integrate thermal‑fluid solutions into plant‑level designs.
Conduct structural, thermal, and fluid analyses using FEA and CFD to refine designs for manufacturability and deployment.
Operate autonomously, driving projects from early concept through analysis and final design verification in a fast‑moving, high‑accountability environment.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Thermofluids Engineer or in a similar analytical role within power generation, clean‑energy systems, or complex industrial environments.
Expert proficiency in CFD tools (ANSYS Fluent, STAR‑CCM+, OpenFOAM) and system‑level thermal‑hydraulic codes.
Strong foundation in heat transfer, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and internal turbulent flow phenomena.
Experience performing multiscale heat‑transfer analyses at both component and system levels.
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving capabilities, with the ability to deliver high‑quality, actionable results.
