Summary: Serving on GE Vernova’s Generator & Electrical Systems team as an active contributor to the design of key electrical equipment and compartments in power plant control and electrical distribution systems. Responsible for the equipment allocated on projects:
Prepare functional specifications based on sizing studies, contracts, regulatory codes, standards, and reference designs. Support supplier design evaluation and disposition of technical offers. Oversee project realization by the supplier in collaboration with purchasing and quality functions. Support site teams during installation and commissioning of equipment.
For electrical compartments:
Lead compartment integration. Verify compartment design against building codes and standards, including structural analysis. Verify HVAC concepts and calculations. Coordinate with design engineers, equipment owners, and technical leaders for deliverables. Review and approve internal and external deliverables.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical distribution of industrial installations (MV, LV AC distribution systems, MCCs, DC-UPS, electrical compartment design). Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience. Fluency in MS Office applications. Strong understanding of motor management relays, protection relays, VFD, coordination studies, and power balance. Preferred Experience
North America standards (UL, CSA, ANSI, NEMA, NFPA, IEEE) and professional engineer certification in the state. Arc flash study and OSHA requirements experience. HVAC design experience. Passion for electrical distribution system digitalization. Compensation and Benefits
For U.S. based candidates only: base pay range 98,400.00–164,000.00 USD annually, with a 10% performance bonus and geographic differential of 110/120/130%. The position will remain open at least until 11/12/2024.
