Senior Tax Analyst Responsibilities
Ensure ASC 740 compliance.
Lead the annual tax provision and forecast quarterly financial tax rates.
Prepare income tax projection reports on a quarterly basis.
Input income tax payments into tax provision software.
Enter quarterly adjustments to deferred tax positions.
Provide tax service providers with relevant data for completion of federal and state tax returns.
Calculate and process estimated tax payments.
Process federal & state income tax extension payments.
Review federal & state income tax returns for accuracy and coordinate filings with tax service providers.
Manage federal and state tax audits.
Respond to related tax correspondence and research issues as they arise.
Keep up‑to‑date with current developments in the tax area.
Assist in ensuring all internal controls and procedures are operating effectively.
Assist with transaction tax returns such as sales & use, property, business, and activity tax returns monthly, quarterly, and annually as needed.
Complete a monthly reconciliation of current and deferred income tax general ledger accounts.
Assist with preparation of 1099 forms, as needed.
Review true leases in the loan administration system for income tax compliance.
Review fixed‑asset tax depreciation for income tax compliance.
Conduct special analysis and research on a requested basis.
Job Requirements
3–4 years of experience in tax accounting.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
CPA preferred.
Experience with OneSource Tax Provision software or similar.
Competent with Microsoft Office Suite; proficiency in Excel.
Finance experience preferred.
Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with various departments and outside reporting jurisdictions.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to work effectively on multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
