Responsibilities Summary/Responsibilities of this position: A Sales Lead will be responsible for applying advanced skills in procedures and techniques specific to the area of specialization. They may carry out supervisory responsibilities, order assigned products to maximize sales, possess and convey a culinary level of food expertise, work under minimal supervision, apply accepted guidelines and procedures to decisions, continually monitor and immediately address problems, make sound decisions on everyday issues and problems, and require specific product knowledge depending on the Department.
Assist in ordering
May assist in writing weekly Department schedule
Identify and address high priority activities first
Communicate clear expectations for assignments
Delegate responsibility to appropriate Partners
Provide excellent customer service
Maintain operating effectiveness
Ensure that all federal, state, and company regulations and standards for product freshness, safety, refrigeration, and sanitation are met
Maintain standards in shrink, safety, and inventory control
Assist in merchandising the department to maximize sales
Use suggestive selling techniques to maximize sales
Experience and Education Preferred
Typically requires 5-8 years experience
Knowledge of department product, food preparation, and equipment
Extensive knowledge of specialty food products and food preparation is essential
Strong customer service skills
Passion for food
Materials Handling Equipment certification
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
Ability to work in extreme temperatures
Previous retail/restaurant experience required
Physical and Other Requirements
Must be able to manage in excess of 25 lbs., up to 50 lbs
