We are seeking a highly experienced Business Process & Data Lead –
Business Partner
to play a pivotal role in a large-scale global
SAP S/4HANA transformation . This position is responsible for the design, governance, integration, and overall quality of the
Business Partner (BP) master data domain .
The successful candidate will ensure that Business Partner data structures, business rules, and governance frameworks are standardized, scalable, and aligned with SAP best practices and the organization’s data strategy.
This role requires close collaboration with functional process leads, SAP/MDG specialists, enterprise architects, and data migration teams to ensure seamless end-to-end process and data integration.
Key Responsibilities 1. Business Partner Process & Data Design
Lead the definition and design of the Business Partner data model, ensuring alignment with SAP S/4HANA standards and enterprise data architecture.
Define number ranges, field selections, industry sectors, and structural elements for Customer and Supplier master data.
Develop and maintain comprehensive To-Be process and data documentation covering all integration points across SAP modules.
Ensure global standardization of data structures, naming conventions, and configuration.
2. Cross-Functional Integration
Collaborate with functional Business Process Leads to ensure Business Partner data supports end-to-end processes such as Source-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, and Record-to-Report.
Align with Solution Architects and Enterprise Data Architects on integration, system design, and data flow requirements.
Manage interdependencies with related master data domains.
Ensure the Business Partner framework supports global onboarding and maintenance processes for customers and suppliers.
3. Data Governance & Standards
Define and implement governance frameworks covering BP creation, modification, approval, and deactivation.
Establish RACI models for data ownership, stewardship, and approvals.
Define data quality rules, validation logic, and mandatory controls aligned with enterprise data governance standards.
Collaborate with SAP MDG experts to operationalize governance workflows.
Support handover and transition into sustainable BAU master data operations.
4. Data Migration & Data Quality
Work with the Data Migration Team to establish and validate extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) rules.
Review data mapping, cleansing, and enrichment activities to ensure readiness for migration.
Participate in mock conversion cycles and lead resolution of data discrepancies.
Monitor and drive improvement of data quality KPIs to meet go-live criteria.
5. Testing, Training & Deployment
Develop test scenarios and cases for Business Partner master data across integrated processes.
Support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Contribute to training development, SOPs, and end-user documentation.
Provide expertise during cutover, hypercare, and handover to BAU teams.
Serve as the subject matter authority for all Business Partner–related process and data decisions.
Drive global harmonization, simplification, and standardization initiatives.
Represent the BP domain in governance forums and program decision-making committees.
Support ongoing improvement of data governance frameworks and processes.
Extensive experience with
SAP S/4HANA Business Partner master data
and/or SAP MDG.
Strong background in master data governance, process design, and integration across functional domains.
Previous involvement in global transformation or ERP implementation programs.
Strong understanding of data migration, data quality frameworks, and ETL methodologies.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage diverse global stakeholders.
Ability to work independently within a distributed, international environment.
