What You’ll Do
Lead infrastructure integration activities across user experience and collaboration platforms, data center and cloud design, workload migrations, Active Directory/Entra ID, and Office 365 consolidation efforts.
Partner closely with the Enterprise Architecture team to define design strategies, standards, and frameworks. Develop and publish architecture principles, position papers, blueprints, patterns, and best practices.
Provide strategic direction for infrastructure domains including public cloud, directory services, collaboration, network, storage, servers, databases, and security practices.
Champion shared systems, reusable tools, and standardized solutions to support cost‑efficiency and improved communication across teams.
Ensure architectural consistency, eliminating duplicative efforts and aligning solutions with overall business and IT strategy.
Serve as a
Level 4 escalation point
for operational issues, supporting complex problem resolution and root‑cause analysis.
Oversee technology lifecycle planning to ensure solutions remain current, reliable, and secure across application, network, desktop, server, and storage environments.
Develop and maintain an enterprise technology vision; assess current needs and anticipate future infrastructure requirements.
Ensure installations, upgrades, and architecture decisions comply with policies, procedures, and licensing parameters.
Identify and implement best practices in infrastructure architecture, ensuring high performance, reliability, and security.
Evaluate software requirements and lead architectural efforts for high availability and disaster recovery planning.
What You Bring Technical Qualifications
12+ years of IT infrastructure experience, with at least 5 years in an architect‑level role.
Proven ability to work with and lead Infrastructure and DevOps teams to deliver strategic solutions.
Expert‑level knowledge of core infrastructure technologies:
Windows‑based servers
Microsoft Exchange / Office 365
Active Directory / Entra ID
Microsoft SQL Server
Cloud certifications in
Azure or AWS
at the architecture level (required).
General Qualifications
Strong background in enterprise infrastructure design, with experience developing and implementing broad architectural solutions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas to C‑level executives.
Demonstrated experience leading large‑scale infrastructure projects.
Experience with IT infrastructure planning in mergers and acquisitions.
Strong analytical thinking and the ability to translate strategy into technical design.
Natural curiosity and enthusiasm for emerging technologies.
Strong negotiation and persuasion skills when working with diverse stakeholders.
IT consulting experience is highly preferred.
Education
Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in Information Technology or related field.
