Physician - Department of Radiology, Chief of Thoracic Imaging Division (Open Rank/Track Faculty) The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center seek a competent, leadership‑focused radiologist to serve as Chief of the Thoracic Imaging Division. The position is open to faculty at the associate professor or full professor level; assistant professors with significant scholarly productivity will also be considered.

Position Overview This role offers the opportunity to lead a growing Thoracic Imaging Division within a rapidly expanding medical center, with a focus on clinical excellence, research innovation, education, and patient‑centered care.

Duties and Responsibilities

Direct day‑to‑day clinical operations of the Thoracic Imaging Division.

Provide patient care related to the Thoracic Imaging Service.

Coordinate daily assignments of clinical staff to meet patient care needs throughout the Medical Center.

Establish metrics and provide data‑driven feedback to the team to create strategies for development and improvement.

Provide executive leadership and articulate a vision and strategic direction for Thoracic Imaging related to clinical care, growth, educational priorities, and research.

Advocate for professional and academic needs of the faculty within the division.

Represent the Department on matters pertaining to Thoracic Imaging in ambulatory and inpatient settings.

Lead recruitment of Thoracic Imaging faculty and professionals.

Develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure consistency with best‑practice standards.

Conduct, oversee, and provide opportunities for lectures, seminars, and related educational offerings.

Collaborate with faculty to develop and lead a Thoracic Imaging Research Program.

Serve as mentor and sponsor of residents, fellows, and faculty in the Division.

Conduct annual reviews for faculty in the Division.

Requirements

MD, DO, or MD/PhD in imaging and/or imaging‑related fields.

Board Certification in Radiology (ABR).

Diagnostic Radiology Residency with additional fellowship training in Thoracic Radiology.

Demonstrated scholarly activity with an established or developing national reputation in Thoracic Imaging.

Demonstrated leadership skills.
