What will you be doing? The Branch Manager is responsible for the overall success of the assigned branch location. Responsibilities of this role are to ensure that branch personnel provide a high quality customer experience while meeting the needs of the customer. Provide coaching to staff around advice and guidance and overall performance to meet the goals of the branch. Manage controllable expense items and staffing efficiency to budget. Direct branch office operations to meet or exceed compliance and operational objectives. Coordinate business and community development activities.
Job Specific Responsibilities / Accountabilities
Accountable for meeting budgeted targets for the company and business unit.
Demonstrate good one‑on‑one skills to help customers build wealth and perform financial planning.
Ensure staff uses needs‑based selling techniques aligned with the First National Operating Philosophy and IMPAX.
Reinforce company expectations for clear product explanations and benefits.
Run weekly 30‑minute partner huddles and 10‑minute stand‑up huddles.
Maintain branch scorecard and coach on retail updates.
Exhibit effective leadership and change management.
Observe employees and coach on the IMPAX model.
Provide oversight to ensure all employees deliver on the Customer Experience.
Maintain presence on the floor to minimize wait times and adjust staffing.
Perform banker and teller duties as needed.
Hold team accountable for timely Salesforce outreach calls.
Monitor In‑Moment survey results and coach to a 90% satisfaction score.
Utilize Banker and Teller Attributes for coaching and hiring.
Ensure sales accountability to attain team sales goals.
Conduct regular one‑on‑one coaching and performance actions.
Apply performance plans if an individual is not meeting sales, advice, and guidance.
Manage controllable expense items to budget and minimize branch fee waivers.
Manage staffing efficiency to budgeted Future State FTE/Salary targets.
Achieve DocuSign adoption ≥80% for new accounts and ≥70% for maintenance (by October 2021).
Minimize branch fraud, DDA charge‑offs, and teller over‑settlements per budget targets.
Ensure account opening criteria, transaction processing, and risk decisions protect customers.
Coach team to provide digital signature cards ≥80% of the time.
Monitor Deposit/Customer workflows, FIRE database, and error reports daily.
Maintain branch cash and negotiable items per bank standards.
Ensure all direct reports meet compliance and incentive plan rules.
Ensure branch passes all On‑Site and Off‑Site assessments.
Communicate with Market Director via brief email when working with HR and employees on performance plans and terminations.
The Ideal Candidate for This Role Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated leadership ability and management skills.
Previous working experience in a retail sales environment.
Oral and written communication skills.
Desire to meet the financial needs of our customers and community.
Ability to problem solve.
Desired Qualifications
Previous Management Experience.
Previous Retail Banking experience.
Knowledge of bank products and services and branch functions.
Candidates must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.
Compensation Base Pay Range: $64,095.00–$108,961.00. This role may have a specific starting pay within this range.
Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from the posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.
